Messages in Artists Bez Labelu

In Messages, you can write to us about anything – a release, a task, a music video, a request, payments or a general question. You will find the reply in the same place, together with the whole previous conversation on that topic.

The Messages section is in the left-hand menu of Artists Bez Labelu. Each topic has its own thread, so nothing gets lost among emails and we can see straight away what your question is about and what we have already discussed. Messages are the fastest way for us to resolve your issue. You are always answered by a real person.

Where to find Messages

  • In the left-hand menu under Messages. The number next to the item shows how many unread replies you have.
  • With the button in the bottom right corner of any page in the app. The conversation opens in a side bar, so you can write to us without leaving the page you are working on. The Open full button takes you to the Messages section.
  • With each task, using the Ask a question button – it opens the thread for that task.
  • In the email we send you when we reply – the button in it takes you straight to the app.

How to write a new message

1

Click New message. The button is at the top, above the list of your threads.

2

Choose what the message is about. In the What is it about field, you choose, for example, General question, Music release, Task, Additional services or Account and payments. The options adapt to what you use in your account – if you have music videos or have submitted requests, you will see those too. This way, you link a message about a release, task, music video or request directly to that specific item, you do not have to write out titles or codes, and we can get our bearings faster.

3

Write a subject and your message. The subject is optional, a few words are enough. Put everything into the message at once: What you are dealing with, what you have already tried and what you need from us.

4

Attach files. You can add screenshots, PDFs, txt files and Office documents to a message – up to 5 files of up to 10 MB each. Send recordings and videos as a link, for example via Google Drive or WeTransfer.

5

Send it. The message appears in the thread straight away and we can see it.

One topic = one thread

Each thread has a number starting with MES and a label showing what it is about – a specific task, for example. In the list on the left, you can see all your threads with a preview of the latest message and the date.

Stick to the thread

Always write about one matter in the same thread. A new message about the same thing in a different thread only slows things down.

New topic, new thread

When you are dealing with something else, write a new message. Several different things in one thread easily get lost.

Resolved

When it is done, mark the thread with the Resolved button. You can reopen it at any time with a new message.

A thread in which we have been waiting a long time for your reply closes automatically after a while – you can still read it, and a new message reopens it. With the Pin to bar button, you pin the conversation to the bar in the bottom right corner and keep it at hand even when you move elsewhere in the app.

When we reply

The reply appears in Messages by itself, without refreshing the page. If you are somewhere else in the app at the time, you will see it in the bar in the bottom right corner and from the number next to Messages in the menu. We also send you an email with a preview of the reply and a button to the app – which is why your email inbox must be working.

Reply in Messages, not by email

The email is only a notification that you have a reply. Reply to us in Messages – that way the whole conversation stays together in one thread and nothing gets split between the app and email.

Messages and tasks

Each task has one thread. You ask a question about a task with the Ask a question button right next to the task – on the dashboard, in the task detail and on the I have fixed it page. Our latest reply also appears on the task card on the dashboard, so you will not miss it.

You do not report that a task is done with a message, but with the I have fixed it button. It opens a page that guides you through what needs to be done or provided – depending on the task, for example uploading new cover art, providing a licence or describing exactly what you did. Until that is complete, you cannot submit it as done. You will find more about tasks in the article Tasks in Artists Bez Labelu.

Messages, Requests or email?

Where When
Messages Questions and problems about releases, music videos, add-on services, payments and your account, questions about tasks and submitted requests, and anything else you need to discuss.
Requests Specific actions that have a form: Pre-distribution check, distribution status, YouTube OAC merge, takedown, songwriter pseudonym and TikTok and Beatport access. You will find an overview in the article Requests in Artists Bez Labelu.
Task When we assign something to you. You ask a question with the Ask a question button and report completion with the I have fixed it button.
Email Mainly when you cannot log in or do not have an account yet. We do read and answer emails sent to info@bezlabelu.cz, but we can resolve things faster in Messages.

How to write a message we can deal with quickly

  • Link the message to a specific release, task, music video or request – then you do not have to write out the UPC or ISRC.
  • Write everything in one message, not five short ones in a row.
  • Attach a screenshot of what you see – error messages, for example.
  • Wait for the reply and do not send the same question again, not even another way.

You will find more tips in the article Tips for communicating with Bez Labelu.
