What a Pre-Save link is

A Pre-Save link is a link you share with your fans before the release date of your album or single. Everyone who clicks it and completes the Pre-Save will have your music saved to their library automatically the moment it comes out – without having to search for it later. On Spotify, the feature is called Pre-Save, on Apple Music Pre-Add, and it works in a similar way on other platforms.

For you as an artist, this means a real chance of a stronger first day. Platforms such as Spotify track activity right after the release, and the more plays you capture in the first few hours, the further your music spreads – in algorithmic playlists as well as editorial picks.

What a Pre-Save link looks like

It is a so-called smart link – a single web address shows a clear list of platforms from which the fan picks their own. Before the release, the link offers Pre-Save on the available platforms. After the release date, it automatically switches to direct playback and expands to include more platforms.

It’s even more convenient to share the release’s album link. Until the release date, fans will find a Pre-save button on it, and on the release date, links to all platforms appear at the same address – so you share a single address both before and after the release. How to get a Pre-Save link

You create the Pre-Save link yourself in Artists Bez Labelu → Album links. All it takes is for three conditions to be met.

Condition 1 – The release must be delivered to the platforms

A Pre-Save link can only be created once the platforms have the release on record – the release must be submitted for distribution and delivered, but it doesn’t have to be published yet. You can check its status in Artists Bez Labelu → Music releases: As soon as the release has been delivered and is waiting for its release date, the Publication status card in the release details shows “Scheduled”. If creating the link doesn’t go through yet, the release hasn’t been delivered – try again in a day or two. Condition 2 – The release hasn’t come out yet

Pre-Save only works until the release date – after that, it is replaced by a regular album link. The Pre-Save before release card therefore only offers releases that have been submitted for distribution, haven’t come out yet and haven’t been taken down. So submit your release no later than 14 days before the release date, but ideally a month in advance – you’ll then be able to generate the link earlier and have more time to share it. Condition 3 – Album links in the STANDARD or PREMIUM plan

Pre-Save is part of the Album links add-on service from the STANDARD plan. You also have album links in the basic START plan, but Pre-Save isn’t included. How to generate a Pre-Save link

1. In Artists Bez Labelu, open Album links in the left-hand menu.
2. On the Pre-Save before release card, find your upcoming release and click Generate Pre-Save link.
3. Accept the terms of the third-party service (found.ee) that provides the Pre-Save links. It is a paid service that is included in your plan price as a Bez Labelu client.
4. Copy the finished link and share it. The Regenerate button creates a new link – the old one may then stop working.
