Pre-save
Also known as: presave
A link through which a fan saves an upcoming release to their Spotify or Apple Music library in advance.
The fan logs in to their platform via the link and on release day the music appears in their library automatically. Pre-saves help a stronger first day after release. On Apple Music the feature is called Pre-Add. In Artists Bez Labelu the pre-save link is part of album links (from the STANDARD plan).
Not to be confused with
- Pre-orders – The option to buy or pre-add a release in a store (mainly iTunes) before the release date.
- Smart link – One web address that offers fans a release on all platforms. Before release it works as a pre-save.
