Milestones – A badge collection for your musical journey
Milestones are a collection of badges for everything important you have achieved on your musical journey. Your first release, your first listener from overseas, your first royalty payout or a million streams – each of these moments has its own badge, and nobody can ever take it away from you.
You will find the Milestones section in Artists Bez Labelu in the menu under your profile picture in the top right corner – right next to Profile, Tasks and Change Password. On a single page, you can see your entire history with Bez Labelu turned into badges: What you have already achieved, what is within reach and how much is still left to go.
How badges work
Each badge has one clearly defined condition – for example “1,000 on Spotify” or “Listeners in 10 countries”. As soon as you meet it, the badge lights up in Bez Labelu colours. You don’t have to do anything or click any button – milestones are evaluated automatically from the data we have about your music.
Earned
A colourful badge with a gradient. The condition has been met and the badge stays yours for good – even if the numbers change later.
Not yet earned
A grey badge is your next target. You can see exactly what needs to be achieved, so you know where to aim.
Completed category
Once you earn all the badges in a category, it gets a green mark next to its heading – the category is complete.
At the top of the page there is an overall progress bar – how many badges you have earned out of all those available. Each category then has its own counter (for example 24 / 27) and a medal next to its name depending on how far along you are: You earn bronze from a quarter of the badges in the category, silver from half and gold from three quarters. In smaller categories (You and Bez Labelu, Requests, Plans & suggestions and the add-on service categories), the first badge is enough for bronze, half for silver and the whole category for gold.
An illustrative example of the overall progress bar – this is how it looks in the app.
Milestones for stream counts, countries, platforms and royalties are based on the same data as Analytics – that is, on the statements from the platforms. A badge therefore only lights up once the platforms have reported the period in question, not on the day the streams happened. The same time lag as for royalties applies here. Milestones for releases, recordings, requests or votes, on the other hand, are counted continuously, usually within a few hours.
Milestone categories
The badges are divided into categories according to what they relate to. Most of them are tiered – you start with a “first” and work your way up through ever higher targets, all the way to the crown for the top plan.
| Category | What you earn badges for |
|---|---|
| You and Bez Labelu | For your membership itself, for writing a Bez Labelu review and for telling us how you found out about us. |
| Releases | Your first release in the system, your first release in distribution, your first single, EP and album, and then 5, 10, 25 and 50 releases. |
| Tracks | Your first recording in distribution and then 10, 25, 50 and 100 recordings. |
| Collaborations | A recording with a featured artist, a recording as a duo (additional primary artist), a release with a guest and a joint release. |
| Streams | Total streams across all platforms: 1,000, 10,000, 50,000, 100,000, 500,000, 1,000,000 and 5,000,000. |
| Platforms | First stream, 1,000 and 100,000 streams on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and Amazon Music; first view, 10,000 and 1,000,000 views on TikTok and Meta (FB/IG); plus badges for being played on 5 and 10 platforms. |
| Countries | New country and 1,000 streams for Czechia, Slovakia, the USA, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Mexico, Italy and Brazil (for Czechia, Slovakia and the USA also 100,000 streams). Plus your first listener from overseas and listeners in 10, 25 and 50 countries. |
| Spotify 1000+ | Your first, 5, 10 and 25 recordings that have reached at least 1,000 streams on Spotify (counted over the entire period covered by your statements). For monetisation on Spotify, however, what matters is 1,000 streams in the last 12 months. |
| Royalties | Your first royalty, your first payout and cumulative totals from CZK 1,000 through CZK 10,000, 100,000 and 500,000 all the way to CZK 1,000,000. |
| Requests | A submitted request for a YouTube Official Artist Channel, for a pre-distribution check and for a songwriter pseudonym. |
| Plans & suggestions | Voting on planned features (first vote, 5, 10 and 20 votes), taking part in polls (first, 5 polls) and your own suggestions (first, 10 suggestions). |
| Playlists | Pitches submitted to Bez Labelu playlists (first, 5, 10, 20) and successful placements (first, 5×, 10×, 20×). |
| Feedback | Reviews you write for others (first, 25, 100, 500), recordings you submit for review (first, 5, 25) and reviews you receive yourself (first, 10, 50). |
| Classifieds | Your first and 5 posted classifieds, a saved classified and favourite advertiser status. |
| Public events | Concerts and events added (first, 5, 10, 25), the On the road badge and the Touring badge. |
| Public profiles | A profile submitted for approval, a published profile, a profile with a paid plan and tagging a fellow artist. |
| Album links | Album links created (first, 5, 10), automatic creation turned on and 100 or 1,000 views of your links. |
| Promo studio | Your first graphic, 10 and 25 graphics downloaded and your first Your Year slide. |
| Music videos | Your first music video submitted for review, your first video on the platforms, and 5 and 10 videos. |
An overview of the categories and the conditions for earning the badges.
What milestones are good for
Above all, they are a rear-view mirror. The numbers in your statistics change every month, but the badges stay – even if your streams drop a year from now, the “100,000 streams” milestone is yours forever. For many artists, this is the first place where they realise how much they have already achieved.
At the same time, they are a map of your next steps. Grey badges show you what is within reach – whether it is the one remaining country to get to listeners in 25 countries, the missing platform for the “Playing on 10 platforms” badge, or Artists Bez Labelu features you haven’t tried yet. Categories such as Requests, Plans & suggestions or Album links thus also serve as a reminder of everything you have at your disposal.
Milestones for streams, countries and platforms are based on real data from the platforms. Any attempt to “catch up” on them by buying streams or using bots is not worth it – platforms come down hard on artificial streaming, and those streams won’t show up in your statements anyway. A badge is a nice bonus, not a goal in itself.
Milestone summary by email
After every statement, we recalculate your statistics, and when there is something to celebrate, we send you a single summary email with your new milestones and records. You can turn off the Milestones and stats category at any time in your email settings.
| In the summary | When |
|---|---|
| New badges | When you meet the condition for another badge – for streams, countries, platforms, royalties and more. |
| Record month | The most streams in a month in your entire history – from 1,000 streams and with at least 3 months of history. |
| New country in the top 5 | A country has made it into your 5 strongest for the first time – from 100 streams. |
| First Bez Labelu playlist | Your recording has appeared in one of our playlists for the first time. |
Graphics to share
You can show a milestone or record to your fans. In Promo studio → Milestones, choose a badge or record, a format (story, square, portrait) and a look, and download a PNG. The graphic shows your artist name at the top and the milestone below it, for example “10,000 streams”. The Thank your fans switch adds the line “Thanks for listening!”.
For sharing, we offer the milestones that make sense to fans – streams, countries, platforms, releases, collaborations, playlists, concerts and music videos. On the Milestones page, they have a share icon.
Frequently asked questions
Why hasn’t my streams badge lit up yet when Spotify for Artists says I’ve already reached it?
The platforms’ tools show streams almost in real time, but milestones wait for the official statements. The badge appears as soon as the statement arrives for the period in which you crossed the threshold – typically around 3 months after the streams.
Can I lose a badge I have earned?
No. A badge is tied to the moment you met the condition. A later drop in streams, a release being removed from distribution or a change in the number of recordings will not cancel it.
Are streams from all platforms counted together?
In the Streams category, yes – all platforms are added up. The Platforms category then tracks each service separately, and the Countries category tracks streams by where the listener is from.
Why do I only have a bronze medal in a category even though I already have some of its badges?
The medals next to a category name reflect the share of badges earned: Bronze from a quarter, silver from half and gold from three quarters of the badges in the category (in smaller categories, bronze already for the first badge, silver for half and gold for all of them). A fully completed category gets a green mark instead of medals.
Why didn’t I receive the milestones email?
We only send the summary after a statement, and only when a new milestone or record has been added. Also check that you haven’t turned off the Milestones and stats category in your email settings.
