Collaborator splits in Artists Bez Labelu
In Artists Bez Labelu you can note down who worked on which track and what share they have – and we calculate from your royalties how much goes to whom. It is a helper for you: Royalties still come to your account and you pay your collaborators yourself according to your agreement.
You open Collaborator splits with the button in My releases, on the Royalties page or in the release detail next to the track’s ISRC.
How to set up splits
- Collaborator directory: Add a name and optionally a bank account number and a note. Only you can see the directory – collaborators get nothing from us and don’t need an account.
- Splitting a track: Add rows to a track: Who (you or someone from the directory), role (performer, featuring, producer, music or lyrics author, mix, master, label, or your own) and the share. The role is just a label and doesn’t affect the calculation.
- Percentages and fractions: Enter a share as a percentage (50, 33.33) or a fraction (1/3). The total must be exactly 100% – so use fractions for thirds.
- For the whole release or copied from another track: Save the same split for all tracks of the release at once, or copy it from another track.
- Change from a given month: When your agreement changes, save a new split from a statement month. Earlier statements still follow the previous one.
Overview and export
- From your statements: The overview takes the tracks’ royalties from your statements and splits them by the shares – by person, by track, by release and by single line, for the period you choose. Royalties of tracks without a split are shown separately.
- Paid: For each collaborator you tick off per statement month that you have already sent their part.
- Export: Download the overview as CSV (opens in Excel), PDF or JSON – for a collaborator or for your accounting.
It is an overview, not a statement
The amounts are based on the royalties in your account. Bez Labelu doesn’t pay out shares on your behalf and is not a party to your agreement – payments, contracts and taxes are between you. What to think of when agreeing is in Splitting royalties with collaborators.
Frequently asked questions
Do collaborators get paid automatically?
No. We pay royalties to the account owner. The overview just calculates how much to send to whom.
Can my collaborators see my overview?
No, only you can. If you want to show them something, download an export.
I can’t save the splits.
The total must be exactly 100%. Check that no row is missing and use fractions for thirds or sixths (1/3, 1/6).
Why is the latest month missing from the overview?
It is calculated from royalty statements, which arrive with a delay – see Standard delay of royalty statements.
