Performer
Also known as: performerperforming artist
A person who performs a work – singer, rapper, musician. They have rights in their performance, independently of the song's authors.
A performer can permit the recording, reproduction and making available of their performance. On the platforms they appear as a primary or featured artist, or in other roles (vocals, instrument).
Not to be confused with
- Author – The natural person who created the work – in music the composer and the lyricist. A company or artificial intelligence cannot be an author.
- Primary artist – The artist under whose name the release comes out and to whose profile it is attached on the platforms.
