Gravatar as your profile picture at Bez Labelu
Your profile picture in the Artists Bez Labelu admin loads automatically – all you need is a Gravatar set up for the email address you entered when you registered.
What is Gravatar?
Gravatar (short for Globally Recognized Avatar) is a free service from Automattic (the company behind WordPress) that lets you set a single profile picture linked to your email address. Anywhere on the web where Gravatar is supported, your picture appears automatically – with no need to upload it again.
Gravatar is linked to the email address you entered when registering for Artists Bez Labelu. This email address is shown (but cannot be changed) in your profile settings.
What does it look like in practice?
In the top right corner of the Artists Bez Labelu admin, you will see your account menu. This is the difference between an account with and without a Gravatar set up:
First Last A default grey silhouette is shown.
Bez Labelu Your own picture is shown.
Gravatar only affects the picture next to your name in the app. You upload the photo for your public artist profile separately in the Public profile section – more in the article Public artist profile and artist directory.
Why set up a Gravatar?
Set it up once and it works on thousands of websites – WordPress, GitHub, forums and more.
A consistent face across platforms builds trust and recognition – and helps tie your online identity together.
A Gravatar profile can also include your links and bio – it works much like Linktree. Example: gravatar.com/bezlabelu.
The picture loads automatically – you do not need to upload anything directly to Artists Bez Labelu.
Gravatar is linked to a specific email address. If your Gravatar is registered to a different email address from the one you entered when registering for Artists Bez Labelu, the picture will not appear. And the email address in your Artists Bez Labelu profile cannot be changed.
How to set up a Gravatar
- Go to gravatar.com and sign up (or log in with a WordPress.com account).
- Use the same email address that you have in your Artists Bez Labelu profile.
- Upload your profile picture on the Gravatar website and save.
- Done – the picture appears in the Artists Bez Labelu admin automatically and straight away.
