Audio and production

Also known as: MP3lossy audiocompressed audio

A lossy compressed audio format. Not suitable for distribution – platforms need uncompressed WAV.

Converting MP3 to WAV does not restore the lost quality; you need to export a WAV from the original project.

Not to be confused with

  • WAV – The uncompressed audio format used to upload recordings for distribution – at least 16-bit / 44.1 kHz, never MP3.
