How much each release and each recording has earned you
How much has each album and each song earned you over its lifetime? Two new tabs in Analytics show you, down to the last koruna – with shares of your total royalties and charts of yearly and monthly trends.
Two more instalments of our weekly analytics series have been added to Analytics in Artists Bez Labelu: Release value and Track value. Both tabs add up your royalties for the entire time we have worked together, across all platforms and countries – answering a question that everyone previously had to work out painstakingly by hand from their statements.
Every album, EP and single by UPC/EAN – total earnings, share of the total and development over time.
Every recording by ISRC – across all the releases it has appeared on.
What both tabs can do
Total earned, total streams, the monthly average and how far back the data goes.
A table of all items with their share of your catalogue’s total royalties.
All items on a common axis – proportions without visual distortion.
Earnings trends for each item, switchable between years and months.
How they differ
Release value works with whole releases (by UPC/EAN) – you can see how much an album earns as a whole. Track value goes one level deeper (by ISRC) and adds up a song’s royalties across all the releases it has appeared on – so a single that was later also released on an album is counted together. By combining both views, you can quickly tell whether an album pulls its weight as a whole or is carried by a single hit.
Where to find the tabs
Open Analytics in the left-hand menu of Artists Bez Labelu – both tabs are at the top next to Overview. Unlike Overview, they have no period selection: They always show the entire time we have worked together.
These overviews are also based on your statements – so the figures match your royalties exactly and have the same time lag.
