A playlist compiled by the platform's editors (such as New Music Friday). You pitch a recording through the platform's tools before release.
Placement is not guaranteed and cannot be bought. Paid “playlist placement” from third parties often leads to artificial streams.
Not to be confused with
- Algorithmic playlist – A playlist the platform builds for each listener individually based on their listening.
