These aren't short hints – each description explains exactly what belongs in the field, what is prohibited and which format to use, and for more complex topics it links directly to the relevant article in the knowledge base.
Where you'll find the descriptions
Every step of the registration has accompanying text that guides you through filling it in correctly.
Name, address, bank account, phone – everything is explained, including why we need it.
From the release title through the C/P line, genres and release dates to the cover art and confirmation of rights.
Authors, producer, ISRC, audio file, lyrics – you know exactly how to fill in every field.
The same descriptions as when adding – in case you need to double-check something while editing.
Why it makes sense
The vast majority of problems in distribution are caused by mistakes when filling in forms – a wrong name format, missing information, mixed-up fields or misunderstanding what a particular field means. The descriptions solve this right at the source: The information is exactly where you need it – not in an article you first have to search for.
Each description is written so that it's clear not only what to fill in, but also why and in what format. Where a topic goes beyond the scope of a description, you'll find a direct link to a detailed article in the knowledge base.
If you take the time to actually read the description of every field, it's practically impossible to make a mistake that would lead to your release being rejected or to anything having to be corrected.
